Daily Life Storage is an archive of queer creativity, produced in small editions as a series of hand-made portfolios. I started the project to share work by artists I met through Tumblr. Initially, I constructed each portfolio from dollar store posterboard, filled them with ephemera, and sent them for free to anyone who wanted them. Recipients were asked to reciprocate the gesture by sending something back. It was an open system of trading fun (and sometimes naughty) pieces of creativity. As the project grew, some people stopped reciprocating, so I started selling them instead. So far, there have been 16 releases featuring work by over 40 artists. I created the last release in 2018, but I’m sure there will be more in the future.
